The auto spray booth has dimensions of 7 meters long, 4 meters wide and 2.7 meters high. On the roof there is an additional cover, as a plenum, to allow the entry of air due to overpressure. On the floor there is a collector with filter grilles to evacuate the air, dimensions to be determined, connected to a duct for outlet to the outside about 12 meters long and 1.2 meters in diameter.

As indicated above, we decided to ventilate the room by overpressure by introducing clean air filtered through the roof of the downdraft paint booth, to try to prevent, as far as possible, that the operators working inside breathe the components of the paint.

The extraction of the air, again filtered, was carried out through a collector 0.8 meters wide on the floor of the car paint room, on which the vehicle to be painted had to be placed, to produce vertical currents and an enveloping movement of the air and thus avoid to dissipate the paint throughout the rest of the cabin.
